What is NHS Pharmacy First and can I use it at Crewe Pharmacy?
Pharmacy First is a free NHS service that lets our pharmacist assess and, where appropriate, treat seven common conditions — earache, sore throat, sinusitis, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated UTIs in women. Yes, you can use it here; for most people no GP appointment or referral is needed.
Do I need an appointment to be seen?
For NHS Pharmacy First and most everyday pharmacy advice you can simply call in during opening hours. For travel vaccinations and some private services it helps to call 01270 215837 first so we can prepare for your visit.
Can I get my NHS prescriptions dispensed here?
Yes. We dispense NHS prescriptions and you're welcome to collect them from us. If you'd like to nominate Crewe Pharmacy for your prescriptions, just ask the team and we'll help you set it up.
Do you offer travel vaccinations?
Yes — we're a private travel vaccination centre. We assess your destination and itinerary and recommend the right vaccines and any antimalarials. It's a private, self-pay service; please contact us in good time before you travel.
How much do private services cost?
Prices vary by service. For travel vaccines, ear wax microsuction, weight management and B12 injections the price is available on enquiry — please call 01270 215837 or ask in the pharmacy.
Do you remove ear wax?
Yes. We offer gentle ear wax microsuction performed by our trained team. It's a private service — call us or pop in to find out more and arrange a visit.
